Allen Stiyahama aka Bigfoot was born in 1948 near Bend, Oregon. He grew up with his family, his parents and his sister, and was educated young, before things changed for him. He can read and write. He moved to Mt. Hood in 2001 and has lived there alone since.Bigfoot generally keep to themselves and avoid contact with people. Allen had a close friend once, a Northern Paiute man who gave him the name Stiyahama. They lost touch long ago. He's recently decided to look for a new pen pal.
Is this real?
Yes. Allen is real. The P.O. box is real. The letters are real.
What should I write about?
Anything. Where you live, what you're thinking about, a question for him. He's not particular. He just wants something worth reading. He likes talking about the weather.
Will he actually write back?
He will. It might take a week or two depending on weather and how far he is from the box. He takes it seriously.
Is Allen dangerous?
No. He's a 76-year-old Bigfoot who wants a pen pal.

If you write Allen a letter, I will take it to the spots on the mountain where we meet. Sometimes he's there, sometimes he's not. If he's not there, I'll leave it. If he is, I'll hand it to him. He will read your letter and then he will write a response. Either he'll leave his reply at the spot for me to pick up, or he'll hand it to me when I see him again. I'll put a stamp on it and drop it in the mail. If you need to reach him urgently, you cannot.
