About Allen Stiyahama
About Allen
Allen, better known as Bigfoot, was born in 1948 near Bend, Oregon. Raised alongside his sister, he was fortunate to receive an early education, learning to read and write, before life took an unexpected hairy turn. In 2001, he relocated to the woods of Mt. Hood, where he has lived a quiet, solitary life ever since, mostly because finding a barber who doesn't ask too many questions is impossible. While Bigfoots are traditionally known for keeping to themselves and avoiding human contact, Allen, having spent years in isolation, has recently turned over a new leaf and is actively looking for a pen pal. He’s the perfect long-distance friend. He’s a great listener, loves a good story, and he promises not to show up unannounced on your doorstep.

Is this real?
Yes. Allen is real. The P.O. box is real. The letters are real.
What should I write about?
Anything. Where you live, what you're thinking about, a question for him. He's not particular. He just wants something worth reading. He likes talking about the weather.
Will he actually write back?
He will. It might take a week or two depending on weather and how far he is from the box. He takes it seriously.
Is Allen dangerous?
No. He's a 76-year-old Bigfoot who wants a pen pal.

A letter from Allen
Hi, Allen Big Foot here.I know it's a funny kind of name, but I am a funny kind of guy.
Truth be known, half the people I meet think I’m a mythical creature, and the other half spend a lot of time trying to take my picture. Personally, I’d just like to figure out what I am so I can quit lurking around scaring folks...or, better yet, just enjoy walking into a coffee shop and ordering a latte.
So, I have hatched a plan to connect with the uncomplicated side of whatever dimension we happen to share when we run into one another. You can write me a letter or drop me a note without doing that terrified retreat you all seem to do. Ask me anything you like. Perhaps we can figure out what we are together. After all, maybe you are the mythical character from another dimension.
I know this is a strange way to unravel a mystery, but I am genuinely trying to reach anyone who can help. I need to find men's size 24 extra wide slippers that don't leave a footprint showing the hair between my toes. I have been turned down by so many people I am beginning to develop a complex, and I think my wardrobe (which currently resembles a rug from the city dump) may not be helping matters. I make a decent living as a grand opening attraction, though I do grow weary of picking ice cream and other condiments out of my hair.
Help me out and drop me a line. I need pen pals.Allen Bigfoot Mt. Hood, OR. Est. 1948, Bend, OR

Allen's Address
If you write Allen a letter, I will take it to the spots on the mountain where we meet. Sometimes he's there, sometimes he's not. If he's not there, I'll leave it. If he is, I'll hand it to him. He will read your letter and then he will write a response. Either he'll leave his reply at the spot for me to pick up, or he'll hand it to me when I see him again. I'll put a stamp on it and drop it in the mail. If you need to reach him urgently, you cannot.
